Our commitment
DeliverTrust is built by Security Minded Solutions, LLC. We are committed to making our product usable by as many people as possible, and we are working toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA.
We will not always get it right. We would rather tell you where we are than claim a finish line we have not crossed: we have not had a third-party accessibility audit and we do not hold a VPAT. What we do have is an active commitment, ongoing testing, and a direct line to us when something does not work.
What this statement covers
This statement applies to the two sites we build and operate: www.delivertrust.io (this marketing site) and app.delivertrust.io (the customer admin application).
What we have built so far
Rather than describe our intentions in the abstract, here is what is actually in the product today:
- A “skip to content” link so keyboard users can bypass the navigation on every page.
- Visible focus indicators throughout, so it is always clear which control the keyboard is on.
- Keyboard-operable navigation menus, which open, close, and return focus without a mouse.
- Dialogs that trap focus while open and return it to whatever opened them on close.
- Support for the
prefers-reduced-motionsystem setting, so animation is reduced for people who ask their device to reduce it. - Semantic landmarks and headings, so screen readers and other assistive technology can navigate the page structure rather than guess at it.
How we test
We run automated accessibility scanning against our own surfaces and fix what it surfaces. Automated tooling catches a meaningful share of issues but not all of them, so we also check keyboard operation by hand as we build. We deliberately call this scanning and verification rather than an audit, because an audit means independent expert review with assistive technology, and that is not something we have commissioned yet.
Known limitations
Some parts of the product have had more accessibility attention than others, and content published by our customers on their own trust centers is authored by them. If you hit something that does not work for you, that is useful information and we want it — a specific report tends to get fixed quickly.
